Human Capital Management Firm Enters Channel Agreement with Leading Enterprise Risk Management Firm
CHARLOTTE, NC & ORLANDO, FL – February 25, 2008. Intercede Services today announced an agreement with Brea, California based Ascend Software to distribute iSuite to their blue chip customer base. Ascend, long recognized as a pioneer and innovative force in Human Capital Management solutions, will immediately begin to market iSuite, the leading intelligent incident and allegation management solution available.
The announcement comes at the HIMSS conference in Orlando, FL. iSuite is used by leading healthcare providers to manage risks associated with patient abuse, issues of employee behavior, HIPAA violations and other data and privacy security concerns. More information about iSuite, including product demonstrations, will be available in booth 4030 at the conference.
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) created specific requirements for managing health information privacy and security. Because of HIPAA, the legal and regulatory environment for managing patient medical information has dramatically changed. As the regulation moves through its stages of implementation, resources such as those made available from HIMSS are key to an organization's successful compliance.
Jerry Overcash, President and CEO of Intercede commented on the relationship, "We are thrilled to have Ascend as a channel partner for iSuite. We believe that Ascend’s passion for customer satisfaction and desire to drive rapid results for their customers, along with the ability of iSuite to solve real business problems, is a powerful recipe for success."
Currently, questions of health information security and medical privacy are of utmost importance in the United States. Hardly a day goes by that we do not see a featured article or publication about some aspect of medical privacy, or a story about a security breach. The issue of Internet Leak Protection (ILP) continues to be a greater threat to healthcare facilities due to the complexities HIPAA adds to the liabilities associated with the loss of personal patient financial information. iSuite allows healthcare facilities to incorporate disparate data from information monitoring systems into iNight, the enterprise case management and reporting components of iSuite. By aggregating all risk and threat data into a single platform for investigation and analysis, Intercede customers are able to more rapidly detect risk and efficiently and effectively respond.
